Chapter 2: In Trouble

All day long, all I could think about was her. I’m also worried, but as the man in the relationship, I have to protect her. I can’t let anyone hurt her just because she’s going out with me.
“Chansung, its your turn.” The PD called. I nodded and did what I was instructed.
The photoshoot went for hours. After that, we went to our next schedule. I forgot about my cellphone until I heard it ring. I rummaged through the things in my bag and finally found it. It was from Junsu-hyung. I answered it. “Hyung? What’s up?” I asked.
“Not much. Just checking if Jay is with you.” I bet something happened again. I turned around from where I sat and looked at Jay-hyung. I went back to my call. “Yeah. He’s with me. Why? Did something happen?”
I heard a sigh and he finally said, “That’s good.” After a short pause, he added. “By the way, our activity for this afternoon is cancelled. We’ll meet up at the company.” The next thing I heard was a beep.
Jay-hyung asked me who it was and what it was all about. I repeated what Junsu said. He gave me a surprised and his shoot-im-in-trouble look. So typical of him.
All the One Day members were sitted in the CEO’s conference room. And it meant trouble. He had this scornful look on his face. Which we weren’t used to. Something did happen. The lights went off and the projector turned on. Pictures were shown. Fan taken pictures. Paparazzis. They were all taken from yesterday’s events. From the party to the hotel. I saw a glimpse of my girlfriend’s face, and sighed in relief that it focuzed on Jay. Most of the pictures were of him. Until a video came on and left our jaws hanging. A girl opened the door, “Ah! Room service is here, you guys. Will you all shut up?” The girl then looked at the camera, more like the person filming secretly. “Sorry. Just put the tab on the room number and we’ll pay the next morning.”
There were two things that caught my attention. Jay was in trouble because he was caught dancing half-naked. And the girl, her face so close-up to the camera, was Park Hae Rin, my girlfriend.
I gasped and turned to the CEO. He shot me a glance. “I’ll talk to you later.” I nodded.
“As for all of you. I received a complaint from the hotel this morning. I heard the room was trashed.” The CEO blurted out. And I heard Jay and Kwon gulp. But he continued, “I know its not wrong to have a wild party. But didn’t it occur to you that you should’ve at least cleaned up a bit? You even destroyed some things! Thank goodness I talked it over with the hotel’s owner. And about the pictures. We still don’t know who it was.”
After giving a sermon to us, he dismissed the others except for me. “Hyung, if I did something wrong, I apologize.” I blurted out. He didn’t say anything. He looked up from his laptop and said, “I don’t even want to know why she was there. My only concern is that that paparazzi saw her, and she might be in trouble when word goes out. I can’t let my niece have problems when a scandal breaks out.”
I nodded. “I can’t let anything happen to her. I promise I’ll protect her.”
And he nodded. “Hyung, should I let some fans know that I’m in a relationship?”
“Take is easy when you tell them. Approach them in a nice way, don’t surprise them.” That was what he said.
The only people who knows about me having a girlfriend are 2pm, 2am, JYP-hyung, and the JYPE staff. And they swore to secrecy. And I think Hae Rin’s girl bestfriend knows about us as well.
I took the elevator to the lobby, when it opened, I saw her talking to Wooyoung. She saw me and smiled sweetly, and walked towards the elevator. I pushed the open button of the elevator to keep it open. She hugged me instantly, and I did too. I kissed her on the cheek and then on the lips. It was our greeting kiss. Like saying “Hello, how are you?” Or sometimes, “I missed you!”
Then the door closed. And we made out.
Our love stood still in the elevator. I looked at her. Her eyes were so kind. I loved that. Not only that. I love everthing about her.
